UNIFORMS are laid out, school bags are packed and lunch boxes are filled for the first day back at school this week.
Hamilton mum, Natalie Overton said she was almost ready to send the kids back to school, she just had to pick up a few more books and they would be set.
“They are all excited to go back, especially the young ones,” Ms Overton said.
Her son, Cody, is starting grade two this year at Hamilton North Primary School and said he was excited to go back and see all of his friends.
The Overton family enjoyed a family holiday to Queensland over the school holidays but are now ready to go back to school.
“We have been home for a week and they said they are already bored,” Ms Overton said.
Premier Denis Napthine said he would like to wish all Victorian students the best for the 2014 school year.
“I would particularly like to acknowledge our new prep students who are just starting their education journey,” Dr Napthine said.
