WORK on the pedestrian overpass over the Henty Hwy near the Fawthrop Lagoon is expected to start within the next three months.
The contract for the $2.7 million project has been awarded to Melbourne-based civil engineering firm Cut and Fill Pty Ltd.
An estimated 50 people are expected to work on the project.
Premier Denis Napthine announced the contract on Friday at the overpass site.
Dr Napthine was accompanied by VicRoads regional manager William Tieppo and Glenelg Shire’s assets and infrastructure group manager Paul Healy at the site.
