CASTERTON’S Old Courthouse Community Centre was successful in obtaining its certificate of registration from the Adult Community Further Education Department, which will take it through to 2016.
And the centre also learned that it would receive Learn Local funding for 2014 of more than $25,000.
Centre chairman John Reid strongly believed that by receiving this funding the centre would be able to play an important role in providing adult education courses to Casterton and district at a significantly reduced cost.
“The community benefits are significant because these courses are delivered by tutors from the local community,” Mr Reid said.
