“I’VE got the lights, I’ve got the gimmicks and I’ve got the moves!”
Denis ‘Daffy’ Steer has taken charge of the next Pleasant Sunday Afternoon in the Gardens and promises pizzazz.
The drummer turned DJ is largely known for his one-man show, ‘Daffy’s Disco’, but stressed that the event in the gardens would be nothing like a nightclub scene.
“Some people think it’s going to be head-banging and rap,” he said.
“I don’t want people to be scared of the word ‘disco’ because it’s music played with love and feeling.
“I’m doing 50s, 60s and 70s – a foot-tapping and hand-clapping day with Daffy.”
The Sunday afternoon shows are held in Hamilton Botanic Gardens throughout the summer months and are free to the public.
