THE annual Wish Upon a Star Ball and weekend of entertainment starts tomorrow with lots on offer – all to support children with life-threatening conditions.
The gala ball has been run by the Make-A-Wish Australia Portland branch for the past 11 years and raises money to grant wishes to local children with life-threatening conditions.
The ball has grown in size each year and also includes lots of activities for those not lucky enough to secure a ticket.
From 10am tomorrow there will be market stalls on the Bentinck St lawns through until 4pm. At 1.30pm six members of the RAAF Roulettes will do a 15-minute display above Portland, followed at 1.45pm with Mark Andrew and Noisy Neighbours performing on the Bentinck St lawns.
