THE public will have an opportunity to receive briefings and have input into the Glenelg Shire Council’s draft civic precinct master plan later this week.
Consultants from Michael Smith and Associates will be available to discuss the plan from Thursday to Saturday with members of the public at a drop-in event at Portland Library’s community meeting room during normal library hours.
Portland’s civic precinct is set for an $11 million revamp in the draft plan released by the council late last year. The plan is open for public comment and written submissions until February 28.
It is predicted the plan may take anywhere between 10 and 15 years to be fully implement.
