A YEAR ago Kamarla Rose found out she had been diagnosed with stage three bowel cancer.
A year on and Ms Rose will speak candidly of her experience of being treated for cancer at next week’s South West Relay for Life as guest speaker.
Ms Rose finished chemotherapy in October and has been technically cancer-free since but said she will have regular check-ups during the next five years to ensure it doesn’t return.
“I have awareness now that I’ve finished the chemo and the affect that has (because the chemo was fighting the cancer),” Ms Rose said.
