THE Coleraine Men’s Shed has received a $60,000 grant from the State Government to build a new facility.
Member for Lowan, Hugh Delahunty said the Coleraine community would benefit from the grant when he visited the shed on Friday, January 31.
“This financial year the Coleraine Men’s Shed received a grant of $60,000 to build a new men’s shed in the main street of Coleraine,” Mr Delahunty said.
“This project would incorporate a workshop and accessible facilities.”
Coleraine Men’s Club president, Max Brown said they were hopeful and excited about the new shed and were lucky to have received the grant.
“The land for the new shed has been donated … having the land donated went a long way to getting us a grant,” Mr Brown said.
