DUNKELD’S new business owners have aimed to strike a balance between catering to tourists and locals with a mix of old favourites and gourmet hospitality.
Harry and Iwona Wakeling, current co-owners of Aquilla Eco Lodges north of Dunkeld, will be taking over ‘The Old Bakery and Wild Plum Café next month.
Mr Wakeling told The Spectator that he wasn’t planning drastic changes to the establishment as the previous owner Paul Sanders had done a fantastic job when reopening it.
“Our two new managers are both French and we will be introducing more pastries and some other changes to the menu,” she said.
“They have been travelling to cafes all over so they can get the feel right.
