DESIGNER Samantha Rogers has had a stellar opening night for her exhibition Heirloom at the Hamilton Art Gallery.
The 24-year-old former Hamilton woman showcased 16 handmade and designed collars made from a variety of materials including feathers, hand-dyed and printed materials and even beetle wings.
Ms Rogers said having an exhibition in Hamilton was a wonderful chance to showcase her work.
She said it meant even more to be able to showcase her designs in her hometown and share opening night with family and friends.
“Friday night was a great kick off for the exhibition, there was a really good turnout; a good mixture of young and old,” she said.
