BYADUK Cricket Club’s reunion to celebrate its premiership heroes has been hailed as a magnificent success after around 100 people arrived at Alexandra House from right across Victoria and beyond.
Organised to celebrate the club’s dominant period in the last 1970s and 1980s, during which Byaduk won 11 premierships, it was also a great opportunity for old mates to meet up and relive the glory days as well as getting the chance to meet the current breed of Ducks.
Organiser, Drew Pickford was thrilled with the response from the former players and said that everyone enjoyed their time together.
“We thought we might have been pushing it, especially as the invites only went out just before Christmas, but we’d definitely look to doing it again at some stage,” he said.
“We had a great night.
“We had about a hundred people there all up … we had a lot of the guys there from the 80s and it was good for the current players to learn a bit about the club’s history.”
