TOMORROW’S Heywood Wood, Wine and Roses Festival has been buoyed by the late addition of monster trucks to its truck and ute muster.
Festival president Ross Barclay said there would be at least two monster trucks and a jet van at the muster.
“They were going to be in Warrnambool for a show on March 1 and I just thought they couldn’t be just down the highway and not appear at Heywood,” he said.
“It is a big coup for us, the kids will love them.”
The festival is set to feature attractions for the whole family and organisers are hoping for more temperate conditions than recent festivals which have been held in heatwave conditions.
Major attractions include daredevil circus stunt show the Wheel of Steel, circus dogs from Toowoomba, mower racing, wood chopping and wood turning, animals from the Halls Gap Zoo, roving entertainers, and arts and crafts.
