HAMILTON Golf Club member Ath Archer has been kept busy of late preparing the hundreds of golf balls that she and Beth Francis will use in their ladies’ beginner clinics.
The clinics are set to swing into action next Tuesday, February 25, at 9.30am.
Ath and Beth will take charge of five weeks of in-class tuition before they supervise nine holes of golf in the sixth week.
The first week will consist of class work, with all the ladies looking like a chorus line and swinging in unison.
Grip, stance and simple swing are the main elements of this day.
After this, participants are divided into four groups with each group focusing on long shots, chipping, putting, etiquette and rules.
This format works extremely well and is obviously popular.
