HAMILTON will share a special link with the 2014 Commonwealth Games through champion table tennis player Melissa Tapper. The 23-year-old guaranteed herself a ticket to the Games when she finished third in last weekend’s qualification series on the Gold Coast. She is now an Australian representative for the Paralympics and Commonwealth Games. Her story is one of remarkable dedication, commitment and a natural ability, complemented by a desire to work hard in order to fulfil her sporting dreams. Sports editor PAT KOOPMAN spoke with her this week following her outstanding achievement at the Gold Coast qualifications.
