BOTH Division One games were played at Grangeburn in near perfect weather conditions.
Hamilton and Portland Blue will contest the Division One grand final on Saturday.
In what some will say was a turnaround of form from previous weeks, the above mentioned were able to account for their nemesis in the form of Portland Memorial and Balmoral.
In the Memorial-Hamilton game, the Memorial side got into gear, winning five of the first six ends played.
Then the tide turned and Hamilton wasn’t headed all day.
At 15 ends the score was 7-14 (Memorial being the highest finishing side quoted first).
At 30 ends 17-27 and at 60, 42-60.
The final score being 69-80.
On a rink-by-rink basis, Den Merryfull, Sarg, Bill Satchel and Bill Edge won 18 ends and scored 35-9.
Murray Arnold, Jack Waldron, Jim Brody and Hamish McDonald played a close game and won 25-22, while Memorial’s Ken Evans, John Wallis, Jim Scott and Darren Body won the cliff-hanger, 19-18.
