DANIEL Storer has finished as runner-up in the Victorian Wingless Sprint Titles in a commanding performance at the Sungold Stadium Premier Speedway last Saturday.
A field showcasing some of Australia’s best wingless sprint drivers ensured that Storer would have to be at his best to capture a podium finish.
Qualification into the final was dependent upon the form displayed within the three heats, with Storer in fine form throughout to succeed in reaching the final race.
In the first heat of the night Storer started second in a stagnated field to eventually elevate into first position, winning by a straight length from the field.
Storer carried this form into the second heat of the night, starting from the back of the pack in 13th position out of 13 cars.
The considerable deficit was conquered as Storer finished second amongst a challenging field to further improve his chances of qualification for the final.
