THE field for Nationals party pre-selection in Lowan has widened after the nomination of Edenhope and District Memorial Hospital chief executive, Emma Kealy.
Her inclusion swells the number of candidates seeking endorsement to three.
It follows sitting member Hugh Delahunty’s decision to retire at the next state election, due in November.
Born and raised in Edenhope, Ms Kealy returned to live in the Wimmera town in 2010 after stints in the Northern Territory, Melbourne and Hamilton.
She said she was excited to throw her hat into the ring.
“I have a strong belief in the abilities and resourcefulness of people in the Lowan electorate,” Ms Kealy said.
“We know how to get things done out here, and I respect the sense of resilience and innovation that communities and businesses show.
“I would love the opportunity to support and encourage people in the Lowan electorate to realise their full potential, as individuals, businesses and communities.
