THE Royal Mail Hotel has undergone many changes in the past six months including a new executive chef, plans to replace the burned down conference centre and new and updated menus.
In a move to encourage more locals to visit the hotel, the bar and bistro menus have had a revamp with ever- changing menus based on produce from the kitchen garden.

“Previously there has been the image that the Royal Mail has been a bit of a stuffy place that is not welcome to the locals,” Mr Wickens said.
“We are trying to change that with the changes to the bistro and bar and starting things like a Sunday lunch.”
Mr Wickens said it was great to have access to the kitchen garden because everything was fresh.
