THE Portland Colts undefeated season could be in jeopardy after they managed 227 runs at the completion of day one against a hungry Portland Tigers side at HentyPark in the Portland and District Cricket Association.
Colts opener Alister Stannard is likely to be sidelined for the remainder of the season after he was injured running between wickets early on in the contest.
The incident comes at the worst possible time for the premiership favourites with the finals series only one week away.
Stannard has been in fine form over the second half of the season as his form rapidly built toward the final series.
Scores of 100, 70 and 54 have highlighted his year, with another large score potentially in the works during the match against the Tigers when he retired hurt on 29 runs.
The poor start was further amplified when Luke Andrews was dismissed for a duck after he was taken LBW by Joel Askew.
