AN estimated crowd of close to 1000 people were drawn to the Portland Classic Auto Club’s inaugural Show ‘n’ Shine on Saturday.
Club president Craig Dennert said it was a fantastic event and planning was already under way to make next year’s much bigger.
“Everyone enjoyed themselves, it is our first one and we will plan to continue it and hopefully double the amount of vehicles for next year,” Mr Dennert said.
The event attracted 108 different vehicles, with Barry Bartlett winning the Shannon’s Choice trophy for his 1934 Ford Roadster and Peter Ranson winning the Shannon’s Portland Councillor trophy with his 1956 Ford F100.
