IT was an elegant affair to remember on Sunday afternoon, when 120 people sat down for a high tea to raise money for Peter’s Project.
Hosted by PortlandSecondaryCollege, the vintage themed occasion proved to be wildly successful with tickets selling out in three days.
Peter’s Project has now raised $4.5 million of the allocated $5 million the community needs to raise to build an integrated cancer centre in Warrnambool.
With approximately $4300 raised by the event, organiser Kim Hol said the generosity and spirit of the community were the ultimate triumphs of the day.
“The atmosphere was amazing,” Ms Hol said.
“There were so many donations from the community that it just made it an incredible day.”
