AFTER two years of work and frustrations Portland drag car racer Geoff Treloar hopes to finally complete his first full power pass in his custom built VK Commodore.
Treloar will be driving in the South Coast Drag Racing Association’s end of season Chicago Shoot Out tomorrow where he will be hoping the 1,500 horse power under the hood of his commodore can help him achieve a sub five-second pass on the South Coast Raceway.
It has been a long journey for Treloar to get to this point, making it as far as the start line just last weekend at the Calder Raceway only to “disintegrate his diff”, with the experienced driver now hungry to get a clean run away in Portland.
“I am confident we will get down the track this weekend without an issue,” Treloar said.
“Everything else in the car is rated high enough, it is just me getting a handle on the set up and the tune of the car.
“I’m nervous, definitely, I only got to do one burnout down at Calder.
