PANCAKES were the order of the day this week as churches across Hamilton celebrated Shrove Tuesday.
Uniting Church parishioners lent their culinary and sales skills to fundraise for church and community projects from the empty building under Harvey Norman.
Volunteer Ken Kirkwood said there was no shortage of people wanting to get their hands on the delicious sweet treat.
“We had to go and get more pancake mixture during the day to satisfy people,” Mr Kirkwood said.
“It’s very popular.
“You get of the same faces coming back every year.”
