FORTY female students from Portland and Heywood celebrated International Women’s Day listening to how four guest speakers have achieved in the workforce.
The high tea event was organised by Pacific Hydro and held at the Portland Golf Club on Thursday afternoon.
Students from Portland Secondary, Bayview and Heywood and District Secondary colleges attended the event.
Guest speakers were Quest Portland franchisee Terry Weissel, VicWind organiser Angela McFeeters, Leading Senior Constable Lee-Anne Nelson from Portland police, and Glenelg Shire councillor Karen Stephens.
Pacific Hydro communications officer Remi Gordon said the four speakers spoke about their careers and their backgrounds.
