DRUMBORG has booked a spot in the Surry District Tennis Association Grand Final after their victory over Tyrendarra at the Drumborg tennis courts last Saturday.
Tyrendarra performed valiantly but were unable to topple Drumborg during the key stages of the match.
Close sets comprised the afternoon with only the final mixed set providing a lopsided result.
Drumborg player Lyndon Mibus dismissed the notion that Drumborg now held a physiological edge over Tyrendarra following a season of domination against the side.
“The whole day was pretty close, it is always hard playing Tyrendarra,” he said.
“Nothing really separates us because it is anybody’s game when we play them, finals is a completely different game.”
