AFTER a hectic long weekend of racing all around the state, why not head out to Hamilton for a relaxing day of good solid racing?
Seven races are on the card today with the first at 1.35pm and the final set down for 5.05pm.
Unlike 11 days ago, this meeting has more depth with full each way betting available on each race, while the highest class race the BM70 has found enough acceptors after being deleted from the previous two meetings.
Trying to find a winner for the punters doesn’t look too hard either.
One of the standouts on the program looks to be the Enver Jusufovic trained three-year-old Zouaves in the Comfort Inn Grangeburn Maiden Plate over 1200m.
A duel acceptor (Kyneton tomorrow), hopefully he races today as he looks a bit better than his rivals based on two strong efforts in the city recently.
Last start he finished midfield at Sandown, but was only beaten around five lengths, and before that he was a close up third behind Mattan at a Moonee Valley night meeting.
A repeat of that effort would see him add a win to his fledging four start career.
Billy Egan takes the ride.
An each way hope at nice odds should be the Ricky Maund trained Coupe Express in the main race, The Taxis of Hamilton BM70 over 1200m.
