HAMILTON is likely to see economic benefit from the recently announced two-year trial of using Kangaroos for pet food.
From March 31, registered shooters who cull kangaroos on land designated by farmers and landowners will be able to supply the carcasses to pet food abattoirs.
The trial will take place in 12 local government areas, including Southern Grampians Shire and the Ararat and Horsham Rural City shires.

“The kangaroos have been wasted for so long.”
“The trial monitored by PrimeSafe and the DEPI (Department of Environment and Primary Industries).”
