A DELEGATION from the Deniliquin Ute Muster will help make a wish come true for Wallacedale ute fan Tom Meade, 11, when he travels to the Branxholme Rodeo on Saturday with a ute escort.
While Tom, who has Muscular Duchenne Dystrophy, couldn’t be put behind the wheel of a Holden ute according to his first wish, he will be hitting the road.
Make-A-Wish Australia Portland branch sent out a call for utes on Facebook to join Tom when he drives his motorised scooter from the Condah Hotel to Branxholme, accompanied by friends, family and other supporters on foot.
Organisers of the Deniliquin Ute Muster caught wind of his wish, put out the call and support for Tom’s convoy exploded.
On Tuesday, the ute muster’s post on Facebook had passed 125 comments, 950 likes and 600 shares after less than 24 hours.
