SOUTHERN Grampians Shire Council is calling for people with an interest in improving participation for people with disability in community life to join its Community Inclusion Advisory Committee.
The committee oversees the implementation of council’s Community Inclusion Plan and puts opportunities forward to enhance the life of people with disabilities.
Committee chair, Councillor Cathy Armstrong said council was committed to equitable access and inclusion to all our services, programs, premises and employment.
“Late last year council adopted our new Community Inclusion Plan which outlines the steps we intend to take to ensure everyone can participate in community life,” Cr Armstrong said.
