SIXTY years ago on Thursday, Bob and Linda Templeton said ‘I do’ in front of family and friends.
Now, they are again celebrating with their family and friends.
They are celebrating the love they have for one another, their children, their grandchildren and of course the wonderful life they have lived together.
They met at a presentation night for the Williamstown Ramblers Cricket Club, who Mr Templeton played for, and then kept going out for a while.
Mrs Templeton, originally from Newport, said they did not go together for long before they became engaged and then married.
Born and raised in Hamilton, Mr Templeton moved to Melbourne for a short period but came back to Hamilton in 1953 after he received a job as what he called a “snoozer” for all the costs involved with building Monivae College.
