A FUNDING application for $282,750 will be made to the State Government for parking infrastructure associated with Portland’s new four-lane boat ramp project.
The Glenelg Shire Council will seek the funding from Regional Development Victoria.
The council also approved at its meeting last week a co-contribution of $94,250 for the project.
It is expected that around 120 car and boat trailer spaces will be established.
In a written report to the council shire grants/projects officer Karen Norris said the parking infrastructure work was a provisional item within Porthaul Civil’s existing contract for the onshore boat ramp work.
