HAMILTON schoolgirl Annie Handley has been found safe and well after she presented herself to Warrnambool Base Hospital after being missing for about 36 hours.
Ms Handley, 17, was officially declared missing late Sunday afternoon after being last seen leaving her house in Hamilton on Saturday at 10pm.
Victoria Police were able to confirm at 10.40am yesterday morning that she attended Warrnambool Hospital’s Accident and Emergency department.
Hamilton Police Acting Senior Sergeant Peter Freeman said she had been found “safe and well”.
“She’s being checked out at the hospital,” he said.
“Victoria Police would like to thank the community for their assistance,” he said.
