SOUTHERN Grampians Shire is denying responsibility for damage allegedly caused to a vehicle by one of its trucks.
At 2.45pm on March 6, Chatsworth resident, Natasha Roberts was driving on Hamilton-Chatsworth Rd towards Penshurst to pick her daughter up from school.
An oncoming Southern Grampians Shire truck approached Mrs Roberts, allegedly taking up the majority of the single lane road and forcing her onto the loose road side gravel.
“I saw the truck approaching and noticed the truck was taking up my side of the road, the road had no shoulder so my car was completely in the gravel to avoid a collision,” she said.
“As the truck passed, a rock about the size of my fist flew up and cracked the windshield.”
Mrs Roberts said the truck, which was transporting gravel to nearby roadworks, did not slow down and made no effort to avoid her.
