VANDALS caused thousands of dollars damage during a paint-wielding rampage in Hamilton during the early hours of Sunday morning.
The vandals struck in Gordon St, North Boundary Rd, Kent Rd, McDonald Ave and Elmore St.
Sergeant Peter Freeman, of Hamilton police said at least 15 vehicles, numerous houses, fences, letterboxes and a number of bus stops were paint-damaged.
Sgt Freeman said the vandals used both oil and water-based paints.
“The vehicles which had oil-based paints used on them are badly damaged – the paintwork is ruined,”
Sgt Freeman said.
“The paint was of various colours.”
Sgt Freeman said some of the vehicles had words written on them.
Police are appealing to the public for information regarding the incidents.
“We’d like anyone who may have heard or seen anything in the area to contact us,” he said.
