AFTER another great season of cricket in the Bendigo Bank HDCA A grade, the players, officials and supporters will assemble on Wednesday evening and laud those who performed above and beyond all others over the past six months.
The highlight of the evening will be the naming of the best player within the Association as the 30th Annual PF Christie Dinner is held at Alexandra House.
As per usual, there are a number of players who will vie for the award as the votes are counted at the end of the night.
Let’s look at each team in the Bendigo Bank A grade and see who will be the winner.
I am going to start with Southern Grampians.
The “Southern Army” again took more wickets with their bowling attack than any other team in the competition, but that success with the ball did not amount to victories as the batsmen failed to support their attack.
Harley McKenzie was the best of the bowlers, and his return of 23 wickets was a just reward for some hard work he did over the winter.
