IT was a proud day for the Hamilton Kangaroos netballers at Cobden on Saturday.
Not only did the club’s A grade team secure an historic breakthrough victory, but all three senior teams saluted on the same day for the first time.
THE Kangaroos ran out strong 46-30 winners against Cobden.
Marni Perry and Stephanie Franklin proved to be a formidable goaling combination.
Perry finished the game with 34 goals, while Franklin provided solid support with 12.
Both were instrumental contributors over the four quarters, along with Regan Luhrs.
THE Kangaroos also took the honours in this contest.
Little separated both teams as the game unfolded, but the Kangaroos were able to run the game out strongly in the second half.
Rebecca Grayson was a focal point in attack.
She capped off the good work of players further up the court with 21 goals.
Molly Neeson and Chloe Uebergang provided good support with 11 and four goals respectively.
Grayson’s effort earned her the best player honour.
Jamie Luhrs also impressed, as did Uebergang.
