THE National Party candidate for Lowan in the state election, Edenhope and District Memorial Hospital chief executive, Emma Kealy, said she felt “honoured and privileged” by her selection.
Ms Kealy secured her first campaign victory after defeating four other preselection candidates at a National Party meeting in Horsham on Saturday.
Ms Kealy told The Spectator that her first step after winning the party ballot was “getting back to work” at the hospital but she would soon go on a fact finding mission around Lowan.
“I’ll be working very hard with (current Lowan MP) Hugh Delahunty as well as travelling around Lowan to meet the people and learn about the issues, opportunities and potential of the electorate,” she said.
