THE Portland YMCA will be on the lookout for a new executive officer after the resignation of long-serving Anita Rank.
The Glenelg Shire councillor confirmed this morning her resignation would be effective from June 30.
Ms Rank said that having spent 13 years as Portland YMCA’s executive officer, it was time to step down and “provide a new opportunity for the Portland YMCA with regards to succession planning and governance which I’m very excited about”.
“I have been involved with the YMCA organisation for 25 years and I hope to be still involved in the organisation that offers so much to the community,” she said.
She said people had asked her if she was resigning and leaving Portland or if she had resigned because of her involvement in so many organisations which had resulted in her having to leave council during some agenda items because of conflicts of interest.
