PROMOTING Heywood and District Committee executive member Andrew Legg believes an amicable resolution has been reached with suspended long-serving volunteer Joy Savill following a mediation session.
However, the final result of the mediation is not expected to be released for the next few days, with the decision still to be ratified by the committee’s executive.
A mediation session lasting about 30 minutes was held on Monday night between Mrs Savill and some members of the Promoting Heywood and District Committee.
Mr Legg said yesterday morning that the result of the mediation would have to be ratified by the committee’s executive before any details were released.
He said that was expected to be done within the next few days.
The mediation was held to allow Mrs Savill an opportunity to appeal a two-year suspension from the group, which was imposed on February 3.
