THE popular golf day at Heywood, which raises funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal, will celebrate its 10th anniversary next Friday.
Fundraising committee stalwarts Wendy Rogers, Karen Mizzi and Sue Storer said the successful formula for the day had not for changed much in 10 years.
“This year’s event will be a four-person ambrose event with 40 teams, followed by an auction of various goods and services – such as a signed Brisbane Lions jumper from 2013, bags of dog food, garden mulch and so on,” they said.
This year’s event will also feature the three people who inspired the fundraising committee to hold the golf day.
Mrs Rogers said Tim Rogers (now a nurse at Ballarat), and students Jack Storer (from Heywood) and Liam Hol (Portland) would attend the golf day.
