SOUTHERN Grampians women are being urged to add a visit to BreastScreen Victoria’s mobile van to their ‘must do’ list.
The van – affectionately known as Marjorie – will be parked at Melville Oval in Hamilton from now until June 30.
Radiographers aim to screen 2075 local women before the service leaves.
BreastScreen Victoria chief executive officer, Vicki Pridmore said appointments were filling fast.
“Appointments are booked out up until April 23, however, more than 700 are available in May and availability is also good in June,” Ms Pridmore said.
“BreastScreen Victoria particularly encourages women aged 50 to 69 to screen as it is proven they are at most benefit from the program.”
