WESTERN Speedway will resound to the sound of the big V8 engines tonight as a star-studded field strive to win the coveted 2014 Victorian Super Sedan Championship.
The field will include drivers from five states and features several former Australian and state champions.
Defending title holder Lachlan Onley, from New South Wales, is driving a Ford Mustang.
Among his many credits are the Victorian title in 2013, the win in the Cascade Grand Prix at Latrobe and second in the Australian Title last year.
New South Wales competitor Darren Kane has claimed the Australian title twice, as well as having won the National Super Sedan Series four times … the only driver ever to do so, a formidable feat.
He will drive a Maxda RX8 with a Dominator chassis.
Also from New South Wales, Wayne Brims is a driver who has also fared well in the national series and, along with two Victorian titles to his credit, he has three New South Wales titles and a Queensland title.
