KOROIT co-coach Kate Foster was “very impressed” by the new look Hamilton Kangaroos in their A grade Hampden netball contest on Sunday at Melville Oval.
The Saints ran out strong 61-39 winners, but the final margin was not a true reflection of the contest, according to Foster.
“Very impressed” was her reply when asked by the Spectator post match about her thoughts of the new look Kangaroos outfit.
“It’s good to see Hamilton improve because we want as many strong teams as we can in the league,” she said.
“It was great for their club to have a win last week.
“We thought ‘gee they’re going to be a force to be reckoned with this week’ and they certainly were.
“They started very strongly.
“I just think that they’ve got a great future.
“Obviously Sara (Kangaroos coach Sara Byrne) being an experienced umpire, knowing all the other Hampden sides, they have a good insight into the other teams.
“So I think they’ve got a really great future.”
Foster was also full of praise for the way her players went about their task.
