THE Hamilton Library is a sea of red with 1006 poppies dangling from the roof.
The poppies have been hand made by the community and on Monday, April 14 the library held a morning tea to thank all that helped.
The poppies were knitted, crocheted and created using felt by individual community members, school children and several community groups.
Hamilton’s Kaye Jenkins contributed 40 poppies to the project because she thought it was a good cause and would promote the library.
