GRADUATE nurses at Western District Health Service (WDHS) have been learning real-life skills from simulation scenarios as part of a new program.
Certificates of attendance were provided to participants in the 2014 WDHS Registered Nurse Graduate Program who attended simulation training.
The simulation workshops were run by Greater Green Triangle University Department of Rural Health through funding from Health Workforce Australia (HWA), an Australian Government Initiative.
The project’s Hamilton based simulation clinical educator, Catherine Fenton, said the training was a valuable education tool for developing clinical skills in a safe and controlled environment.
