WESTERN District Health Service (WDHS) maternity ward staff members at the Hamilton Base Hospital held a morning tea to thank the Hamilton and Hamilton North Rotary Clubs for their generous support.
The Rotary clubs have provided children’s books to the maternity ward which are given to the mothers of newborn babies.
Rotary Club of Hamilton North president, Jennifer Barke and Rotary Club of Hamilton’s Annelie Huxhagen attended the morning tea on behalf of their clubs.
“The local Rotary clubs have been providing books under their Literary Project for over six years following an idea that was born by Rotary in New Zealand,” Ms Huxhagen said.
