BRENTON Rowe will have little time to cool his heels before he heads overseas in June to race in Europe.
The 26-year-old former Monivae College student continued to fly the flag for Hamilton at last weekend’s Australia Post Stawell Gift.
He contested the Backmarker’s Mile on Easter Saturday and then backed up in the prestigious Herb Hedemann Invitation Handicap Mile (1600m) on Easter Monday.
Now based in Geelong where he continues to be coached by Tom Paton (originally from Port Fairy), his focus will now switch to the European athletics scene.
Rowe has raced domestically over a range of distances so far this year, from 10kms on the road to 800m local interclub races.
