PENSHURST continued its good early season form on Saturday with another narrow victory, this time over SMW Rovers at home.
Similarly to Round One, the Bombers had to fight hard to stave off the opposition by a solitary point, but in doing so maintain their unblemished record in 2014.
The game was in the balance all day, with both teams having momentum and scoreboard ascendancy at different times.
In the end, the result could have gone either way, but full credit to the Bombers who with plenty of youngsters coming through the ranks chalked up another tough win.
After kicking out to a 17 point lead at three quarter time, the young Bombers had to endure some nervous moments in the last quarter as the Dogs pressed for victory.
