$4.7 MILLION raised in eight months says a lot about a community.
Mind you, founder of Peter’s Project Vicki Jellie is starting to become accustomed to the generosity of people.
Tasked with raising $5 million from the community to make the $30 million integrated cancer centre in Warrnambool a reality, Ms Jellie has been amazed at the universal generosity of individuals, workplaces, schools and community organisations.
“There is such a strong demand in our region for a cancer centre that people were drawn to Peter’s Project,” she said.
While visiting Bolwarra Primary School last week in preparation for the school walk-a-thon to be held on May 9, Ms Jellie noticed the school’s motto and how it was a great analogy for what Peter’s Project stood for and is attaining.
“Nothing is impossible. That’s what Peter’s Project has been all about.”
