TWO years after narrowly missing out on a spot in the Archery Australia Trans Tasman Challenge team, Niamh Jones has finally been selected for the 2014 team.
The 13-year-old The Hamilton and Alexandra College student recently participated in the 2014 National Youth Archery Championships in Adelaide as part of the Victorian state team.
She participated in four different disciplines including target, match play, clout and field and came first, second, second and first respectively.
“I am happy with the results … my favourite (discipline) is match play as I like the fact that if you shoot badly at one end it doesn’t really affect how you go overall and also you get rewarded for each good shot,” she said.
